  1. Growth of E. coli strains DH5α pUC18 and DH5α pUCHelNhaD on solid and in liquid MM63 minimal medium, low-phosphate version supplemented with NaCl and LiCl as indicated. Growth quality judged from colony size and microscopic behaviour: +++ very good, ++ good, + poor, (+) mere survival of cells, - no growth.
