Proteomes of Chlorobium tepidum (a), Escherichia coli (b) and Pseudomonas fluorescens (c) and the metaproteomes of an artificially constructed community containing all three organisms (d) were overlain and compared to the metaproteomes of the artificial community after dilution and recovery using Compugen Z3 software. Green or pink colored protein spots are unmatched. Gray or black spots are matched.
